Full-service design process

Every project begins with understanding. A short questionnaire outlines your scope, style, and priorities before we ever meet — so our first conversation goes deeper than the basics. We then meet on-site to walk the space together, talk through your hopes for the project, and explore how we’ll bring them to life. From there, you’ll receive an interactive proposal detailing the full scope and every consideration, along with an online contract to formalize the partnership. Once signed, you’re welcomed into your own client portal — a single place for your project calendar, tasks, reminders, files, and communication with our team, alongside custom invoicing and flexible payment plans. From the very first step, everything has a place.

The exterior deserves the same depth of attention as every room inside. We begin with focused consultations on your exterior vision, followed by detailed elevation drawings that bring the design to life before a single material is chosen. From there, a detailed spec sheet outlines the materials, finishes, and selections specific to your home’s exterior. We then meet on-site with suppliers to review selections in person, and coordinate directly with your trades to ensure everything comes together as designed. For homes that call for it, this can also include decking, fencing, privacy walls, exterior fireplaces, and other features that extend the design beyond the walls of the home itself.

Every great space begins with a conversation. We schedule a concept meeting to begin shaping the design direction together. From there, we develop fully customized moodboards for your space, bringing together inspirational imagery, furnishings, materials, and hardware selection ideas that reflect your style and vision. Your feedback shapes every revision, and we refine the moodboards until they’re presented for your approval. The result is a clear, confident vision to carry forward into every decision that follows.

With the design direction approved, we translate the vision into detailed sketch drawings for cabinetry, built-ins, fireplaces, and any other custom elements unique to your space. These are shared with you in a Concept Drawings Presentation, where you’re invited to review and share your feedback, or approve the direction as presented. Your feedback shapes every revision, and we refine the drawings until they’re ready to present again. Once the final concept drawing files are complete, you’ll have one last opportunity to review and approve — ensuring every custom detail is exactly right before moving forward.

Drawing on the moodboards, concept drawings, and your feedback throughout, we prepare thoughtful product recommendations tailored to your space. From there, we meet with trades and suppliers to source every material and piece of hardware — bringing the design to life with the same care and precision as every step before it.

With products, samples, and materials sourced, we prepare detailed drawings that bring every selection together into a cohesive plan. This is also the stage where we revisit the budget, making any adjustments needed to keep the project aligned with your goals. Once complete, you’ll have the opportunity to review the final detail drawing files and share feedback, or approve the direction as presented.

With every detail finalized, we prepare a fully detailed specification sheet — shared with both you and your contractor, and ready to guide accurate ordering and installation of every product and material. By this stage, every piece of the vision is in place. Moodboards, drawings, sourced products, and selections are all coming together as one cohesive plan. Before any permanent changes are made and construction begins, we pause for a final, thorough review. Through your client portal, you’ll select a time that works best for you, and we’ll meet to walk through every sourced product, detail drawing, and the project budget together, making any final adjustments needed before moving forward with confidence.

We visit the site regularly throughout construction, acting as a liaison between you and your contractor and addressing any issues or concerns as they arise. We also attend the electrical walk-through, ensuring every light, switch, and outlet delivers both function and design intent. Behind the scenes, a variety of trades are hard at work bringing the vision to life — with us there to see it through.

We complete a final walk-through together, sharing helpful tips and advice for living in and caring for your new space. Then, it’s simple — you enjoy it. We close out the project with a short offboarding process, including your feedback and a small thank-you gift from us to you.
